I especially liked the shimmer of copper and hint of gold color playing off each other in the dichroic glass. I think the dark red glass makes the dichroic show even richer in this particular piece.

The sun was shining – so I thought I should add this one to the website today. I’ve named this one “a river runs through it” – It’s two kinds of dichroic glass with glass bead accents and sterling silver wire. I included both pictures here so that I could show off the difference when this pendant is worn against dark or light color clothes. Necklace and earring set made with pink and teal glass bead dangles fixed onto a sterling silver necklace. Some of these beads are cut glass and others are lamp worked. I had a random assortment of blue glass beads and wanted to show them off. So I started working with some silver wire and coiling them to best feature the beads in question. Here I mixed a square bead as a focal with an oval round as a dangle. Pendant of fused dichroic glass with silver wire and glass bead accents. A burst of autumn colors with copper wire using silver and beaded accents surrounding a dichroic cabochon. Fused glass cabochon with dichroic glass, silver wire wrap and glass bead accents. The silvery pink and the blue-green dichroic glass are lovely together. The beads that cascade at the top were carefully chosen and co-ordinate well with the cabochon. I really like the combined colors in this – it’s a subtle palette mixing soft translucent white, with a muted green and hints of deep blue. I was at a convention the day I made this…talking to my friend Denneal and showing her various techniques. She really liked this simple and elegant design. Denneal pushed me to realize my dreams of starting the business and selling my own work after seeing several pieces I had made. EDIT: Ironically the first sale I [...] |
