2 Electric Toys Join Hall of Fame

Okay – this is just fun. I found an article by BEN DOBBIN, an Associated Press Writer.

I really love stories like this; the feature here being toy trains and the mention of how they got started is also a good source of inspiration.

“Engineer Joshua Lionel Cowen built his first electric toy train as a store-window attraction around 1900. When a customer bought the train instead of other toys it advertised, he launched the Lionel Manufacturing Co. Its sales peaked at $32.9 million in 1953”
