This is a faux stained glass technique that I did for an interior window wall. It measures approximately 30 x 45 inches. A comparable sized stain glass window might cost $3,500-$5,000.

This window cost about $500 in materials and a month of my time…. not including the frame and the installation. If it were for sale it would be around $1500-$2000 due to the time involved. Each color was custom mixed for a more authentic look and drying times ment that each color needed a day or more to dry completely.

Tip: make sure that each separate color is done and dried before working on the next color, this prevents you from accidentally smudging the paint causing blotching and unsightly wrinkling of the paint. While it adds a lot of time – it gives you the best results.
