Exhibiting at the Sterling Branch Library

Recently I was asked by the local library staff to design a display that features my jewelry for a few weeks in April. This was a lot of fun! I have many pieces on display that are not yet featured in the gallery…. most of which are for sale and will be available on the website very soon.

I want to thank the library staff at the Sterling Library for this opportunity.

The display officially went in April 7th. And I was getting attention from several library patrons who wanted to know if it was for sale. Very exciting, and rewarding to hear strangers complimenting my designs. So I thank you too.

I decided to theme the display “Jewelry Making” with several different styles of jewelry and methods (although mainly I focus on fused glass pieces right now) with several books, some raw materials, and a variety of hand tools.

So – If you are in the area of Sterling VA in Loudoun County – stop by and enjoy the library and make sure to take in my display case!

As for sales – I will say that if people want to buy them from the display – arrangements can be made depending on the piece… I can always substitute another from my stock. There is a reserve placed on a few pieces – with right of first refusal which will not be resolved until after the display is dismantled.

Fused Glass display at the Sterling Library

In December I was asked by Holly at the local library to design a display for the month of January.

I decided to feature fused glass, and I included lots of tools, materials, a few books, and a variety of pieces. I showed not just finished pieces but works in progress – successes and failures.

I want to thank the library staff at the Sterling Library for this opportunity.

The display officially went in Jan 3rd. It’s rewarding to hear strangers ask about my glass.

Participating in the St. Joseph Parish Craft Fair

Well – it’s official! Driia’s Dreams will be taking part in the 3rd Annual St. Joseph’s Craft Fair.

This is an indoor / juried event to be held:

Sat. October 27, 2007

St. Joseph Parish Hall
750 PeachTree St.
Herndon, VA 20170

The show is open to the public and the admission is free!

Doors open at 9:30 am and close at 3:30 pm

This is just 16 days away – so I better get a move on and finish all those pieces I have started.

Well – today was going to be the “official” launch of the website…however my tech support has to work late. Such is life. However I do expect this to be live any day now. I was pushing for today to honor a birthday… and a source of strength in my life. Maybe I’ll be able to go live in the next week. (fingers crossed)

I still have a lot of things to prepare and enter on the site…so while the last minute stuff is being addressed – I’ll be spending time on the mundane tasks of data entry.
