This necklace was made from some of the first semi-precious stones I ever bought at a Gem show. It’s one of my favorites for that reason. Well – the fact that it has purple beads doesn’t hurt either.

This necklace was made from some of the first semi-precious stones I ever bought at a Gem show. It’s one of my favorites for that reason. Well – the fact that it has purple beads doesn’t hurt either. To the many more who I meet in passing or casually at a class – you share your talents, interests, tips, techniques and opinions – I may never remember the names but I remember the bond formed if only briefly….and the sharing. Carry on. Your writing, your costumes and your artwork – need I say more? We haven’t talked in a long time – but I really hope you’ve kept up your creativity – it certainly sparked mine. Hey Captain – imagination is all packed and ready to go….! My good friend at college – a wonderful general crafter, story teller and crochet fiend. And now I find out that your are making jewelry too – Go girl! Your know who you are – there are too many of you to list individually. But you each have interests that spark interest and aren’t afraid to share or just sit quietly – or not so quietly and work on your craft and keep others company who are working on their own craft. I was at a convention the day I made this…talking to my friend Denneal and showing her various techniques. She really liked this simple and elegant design. Denneal pushed me to realize my dreams of starting the business and selling my own work after seeing several pieces I had made. EDIT: Ironically the first sale I [...] This pendant uses a fused glass cabochon featuring a burst of dichroic that shows off pink and silver blue over a black and clear background. Finished with a square silver wire wrap. Clear fused glass with pink and teal stripes, wrapped in pink enameled copper wire with bead dangles. |
